    The Dolphin pub had been a local watering hole of the lovely St Marychurch area of Torquay. Sadly it had got a bit worn out and ended up being closed and left vacant for over 8 months. Damage and decay had set in both inside and out. Heavitree Brewery came to Ecomaster with hopes of reviving the pub and brining it back to life under new management. Ecomaster designers went to work imagining a bright and spacious atmosphere and planning a practical, safe and productive place of business.

  • Project Description

    The Heavitree Brewery is a family run brewery with a range of lovely pubs across the South West of England. After our renovation of Marshals, Barnstaple The Heavitree entrusted us with a complex and challenging refurbishment of a pub and landlord’s residence that needed bringing back to life.

    In the design phase of the project, the shape of our brief was formed it became clear our tasks would include:

    • Reducing the size of the bar to create space
    • Complete replacement of flooring with new highly durable vinyl ‘click’ flooring and quality hard wearing carpets
    • Construction of an outdoor garden patio area
    • Brand new toilet facilties
    • Upstairs bedroom refurbishment
    • Furniture re-upholstery
    • Booth seating construction and upholstery
    • Extensive decoration
